Meet the new owners of the North Fork Mountain Inn

The picturesque North Fork Mountain Inn located on Smoke Hole Road in Cabins, WV has long been a favorite getaway for folks looking for epic views, great food, and amazing hospitality. The North Fork Mountain Inn has been described as "An outpost of luxury in the wilderness".

New owners Nadia and Janese are excited to provide a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for their guests to reconnect with nature and one another. During the pandemic they travelled cross country to enjoy all the natural beauty the country and National Parks had to offer. With Smoke Hole Canyon and the Monongahela National Forest as the backdrop, owning the North Fork Mountain Inn was a dream come true for them.

We caught up with the new owners to learn more about what they have learned with their new adventure and what to expect at the inn.

Janese & Nadia

What brought you both to WV?

We came to WV specifically for the Inn. We were looking for a B&B somewhere in the mountains and we stumbled upon the North Fork Mountain Inn. We were happy to find somewhere this beautiful on the East Coast.

What has been the biggest surprise about living in Grant County?

Our biggest surprise about living in Grant County is how welcoming, friendly and helpful everyone has been. As two female business owners from out of state, we were nervous it would take time to mingle, make friends and be accepted. We are extremely grateful for the networking and positivity that other local business owners, neighbors and community members have shown us in the few months we have been here.

What updates do you plan at the inn?

For food, we have expanded our food options for external patrons and hikers. We offer picnic lunches, hot handhelds and smoothies and want to encourage hikers to stop by when hiking the North Fork Mountain. For Physical updates, Nadia has been single handedly replacing the showers in each of the rooms in the Inn. We are looking forward to expanding our deck to accommodate more seating and a fire-pit. We want our guests to enjoy the night sky after a delicious dinner.

Any events coming up at the inn you are most excited about.

We are looking forward to hosting our First Murder Mystery Dinner Party. We will post more information and the date on our website/social media.

We are also excited to reveal our Gold Rush Geocache! The first clue will start from the Inn and take hunters throughout Grant and Pendleton County, piecing together clues while sight seeing and enjoying nature. We will announce the start date on our website/social media.
