Re-invented Hermitage Inn & Taphouse now open for reservations!

Built in 1841, The Hermitage, is one of the oldest properties in Petersburg, West Virginia. It was converted into a hotel in 1881 and has been in operation ever since. The hotel begins a new chapter in its storied history as it becomes the Hermitage Inn & Taphouse under new owners Jason & Carla Kaposy. The Kaposy’s have renovated every inch of the property with a new look and modern amenities while maintaining the rich history and character of the inn. From the welcoming and inviting communal spaces, to the stylish yet comfortable guest rooms, the new look and atmosphere of the hotel draws inspiration from the mountainous landscape surrounding it.

The modern, yet comfortable guest rooms and studios are infused with a sense of laid-back elegance, a breath of fresh air – light, airy, and spacious.  Room options include King, Double Queen, Junior Queen, Queen Full, and Extended Stay Studios. All rooms include free wifi, flat screen TV’s, complimentary breakfast, and mini-fridge.

Opening soon will be the Taphouse. Featuring a creative upscale-casual menu sourced with fresh, local ingredients, guests are treated to a twist on Appalachian-American fare. In addition, The Taphouse will serve a robust selection of spirits and a variety of West Virginia’s finest craft beers. In addition to comfortable indoor seating, the Taphouse will feature an outdoor Astro-turf green space with firepits and yard games.

Petersburg is your guide to unrivaled fishing, boating, hiking, biking, climbing, and more. As the easternmost gateway in the Monongahela National Forest, Petersburg makes for the perfect launchpad. From our legendary scenery, trails, parks, and pristine rivers to the culture, shopping, and entertainment, you will need more than one stay at the Hermitage Inn and Taphouse to experience all we have to offer.
