Spring is in the Air

The Grant County Chamber of Commerce orchestrates the Spring Mountain Festival each year during the last weekend in April. 2022 (April 29 - May 1) marks the 29th year for the festival which began in 1992 in the Petersburg City Park.

The festival has been moved back to the City of Petersburg Park. Admission to the festival grounds is free and features fabulous entertainment from the festival stage, arts and craft vendors with a variety of interesting and useful creations and novelty items, rides, games, food vendors, flea market, and much more.

Saturday kicks off with a parade and there is an antique car, truck, and tractor show for the big kids with prizes for the winners and a motorcycle show. There is also a trout derby that will be revived this year with prizes for all ages.

Food lovers always mark the festival on their calendars. You will find food vendors serving BBQ, crab, sausages, and almost any kind of festival food that you can imagine.

The festival is always a-buzz with every genre of music ranging from bluegrass to country and classic rock to gospel, all free of charge. Local artisans demonstrate their talents and enjoy a huge selection of local and regional crafts.

Spring Mountain Festival attracts nearly 6,000 people every year to our scenic mountain home for a long weekend of fun, music, culture, and family. Make sure you don’t miss it.
