Fort Mulligan
Known locally as Fort Hill, the fort was to serve as a protection for the South Branch Valley from Confederate forces and also as an auxillary depot to supply numerous troops on their expeditions. Today, Fort Hill stands tall.
The Old Courthouse
In 1928 the WW1 monument was added out front with the concrete work done by John Edsmond Taylor. The Historical Society charter members were instrumental in listing the Courthouse on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
Davis House Museum
Built before 1840, the Davis house originally served as the parsonage for the Methodist Church and its traveling pastors. Until 1974, it was owned by the Davis family. In the early 2000s, it housed a bookstore owned by Nancy Cooley.
Tannery House
Located behind the Old Courthouse, the Tannery House serves as a museum relating to the Petersburg Tannery that employed many locals for years.
